Arqiva National DAB Feeds on 4.8°E

I've been feeling under the weather this weekend, and with a lack of things to do I got curious about the mysterious data services on 12303H on Astra 4.8°E -

BBC - CCI DAB
DAB D1
SDL NATL

As this transponder is an Arqiva one, and these services are the names of the UK's three national DAB multiplexes, I thought it might be safe to assume that these are the feeds that supply the transmitters across the country. :D If this is the case, then my thoughts turned to whether it might be possible...

feed hunting with crazyscan

I've got set up with my TBS card and crazyscan and have been blind scanning full satellites and adding the updated .ini file to dvb dream.
My question is, if I scan a range of frequencies looking for feeds, what is the quickest way to get them into dvb dream without overwriting the existing .Ini file?
Is it just manually copying and pasting the transponders?

Comparing sensitivity

Hi

What would be the best way to compare sensitivity of two tuners? I have been looking at the SNR values in Crazyscan but in comparing my TBS QBOX 5922 to the TBS Pro 6903, the 5922 seems to be by .1 or .2 more sensitive.

Can this be right or could it be just the way the tuners are reporting back to the software? The 6903 cost about 4 times as much so I would have thought the tuner would be more sensitive.

even 30kbps internet is fine

i have TBS qbox DVB
i have 1,2m dish
i have LNBF and normall LNB

or there is any simcard satellite ?

just need have internet without any connection in city

Hi,

Would anyone please be able to advise me how narrow the bandwidth exclusion and modulation exclusion is for a frequency placed in the EBS Pro Filters (Black List)?

For example, if a feed frequency of 12500 MHz is added to the black list with modulation of QPSK would an EBS Pro blind scan report a signal of 12500 MHz with modulation of 8PSK. Also, would EBS Pro report a signal of 12501 MHZ with modulation of QPSK?

Along with Abertis, SDG images team comes with another implementation, this time for T2-MI. A seamless decapsulation of the three MIS Zeonbud streams on 4.8E was made possible. The philosophy includes a MIS capable card like TBS5925 tuning to the cached pid 4096 of each MIS stream via specially edited lamedb entries and astra-sm with a modified auto start script performing the decapsulation and head stripping of the streams leading the channels to a favourites bouquet that is viewable...

U2C denys h265

First of all, I will review U2C denys h 265 only as the satellite receiver, so no iptv.... (anyhow not very interesting for western europe)

Good things:
- very easy to get Multistream and T2-mi, simply scan after define the frequency as t2-mi/multistream
- acceptable tuner sensitivity;
- very good video quality;
- Great epg on russian channels.
- NO UHD TVs, but you can get HD channels broadcasted in H265, with very few glitches (improve it).
- recordings from EPG and in a ts file that is...

I found a odd problem with EBSPro the other day.Using the EBSPro positioner if I send the dish to 10 East the dish goes to what looks like 000 degrees.
Sending the dish to 10 East with DVBDream it goes to the correct position.Sat postition setting is right 0100.I rarely scan 10 East so I do not know how long the problem has been there.I got round the problem by setting the sat position to 0101 it works fine at that setting.I use version 13.1.0.0.Has anyone else had this problem.

This may be something everyone else knows already but I accidentally discovered that you can set a fixed Y axis scale on Crazyscan. I find it useful to have fixed scales when comparing scans.

To get the settings as shown here, double click on the Y axis scale and uncheck "Autoscale".

hi guys be grateful of any help i got a tbs qbox s2 5922 usb its connected to my windows 7 pc all drivers are installed but the problem i have is trying to scan sats what is the best program i tried yesterday and managed to scan a few in on 28 with progDVB but cant seem to get it working today but if someone could recommend a program i can use that easy for a beginner or a few tips on how to use progDVB be very grateful

Using TBS6983/6903 Below 900MHz (STV6120)

It seems that the STV6120 has responses at fRX/3 and fRX/5. The /3 response is only about 12dB below the main and /5 is 20dB down. The result is that the spurious, high frequency, responses can interfere with low frequency signals. It doesn't matter if the upper channels are clear but when using something like a Sky Q LNB, channels below 11200 were up to 4dB below the expected SNR (tested on 1W). Using an ~850MHz LPF for low channels should fix it but I've not tried it.
