12380 H @ 26E PUZZLE!!

Hi,guys

There is a strange frequency on 26E. It's 12380 H 27500 DVBS2
Using DVB Dream, after scanning the frequency directly sports channels shown as normal scrambled TV in Biss.




But on the channel list are shown as data channels.

TBS 5927

My team colleague Onacila`s expecting delivery of the new TBS 5927 card earlier next week.
He`ll compare the new card not only to it`s predecessor TBS 5925, but also the rest of his cards (TBS 6983, TBS 6903, TBS 6522, Prof 7301) and also make a few additional tests in various bands to find its limits and potential .

Because he`s also working on a few very interesting satellite projects, this card will get very busy!

New OSD for UpdateDVB

There's a new OSD skin for the Linux-based UpdateDVB application. Here I'm using it to open the DVB-S2X channel on 33E 12621V.

I did have a problem originally locking any transponders with this application using the TBS6522, but after enquiry realise that, unlike say the TBS6983, with the TBS6522 you have to insert the SR and modulation and system parameters into the respective boxes before obtaining any channel lock.

Thanks to Chris Lee (app originator) and co. at Ricks for their help...

Arqiva National DAB Feeds on 4.8°E

I've been feeling under the weather this weekend, and with a lack of things to do I got curious about the mysterious data services on 12303H on Astra 4.8°E -

BBC - CCI DAB
DAB D1
SDL NATL

As this transponder is an Arqiva one, and these services are the names of the UK's three national DAB multiplexes, I thought it might be safe to assume that these are the feeds that supply the transmitters across the country. :D If this is the case, then my thoughts turned to whether it might be possible...

Enigma 2 error with BeoutQ PMT pids

hi all

from 2 days BeoutQ work at Badr 26 freq 12207 V 27500
Hevc freq

channels downloades on my Dreambox 525 HD as Data channels without Pids
but when I put pids manually through dreamset ,it gave me Error in reading Pmt and show to me N/A

the main problem is Pmt shows as unknown so channels aren't dycrypted

any help ?

TBS5520SE Multi-standard TV Tuner USB Box

This is around £80 and looked interesting to add to an i5 MacMini (via VM) to actually watch TV (a novel application, I know). I've seen little mention of it apart from it being supported by Crazyscan. It seems like a bargain and too good to be true, so probably is. Does anyone have experience of it?

TBS 5922 "spikes"

I have a strange behaviour from my TBS 5922 USB receiever.
The first scan i do (with Crazyscan) comes back nicely.
The sceond one, even after just a few seconds, exhibits spikes in the graph - particularly for horizontals, and most markedly in the lower part of the Ku band.

I saw something interesting on another forum, and seeing as I can't get 30°W here (blocked by trees) thought I'd ask.

Can anyone pick up anything on Hispasat 30°W 11492V with a multistream capable DVB card? The symbol rate is listed as 7522 and modulation as 8PSK with FEC 8/9.

It seems to be implied that this may contain a feed of the Portuguese digital terrestrial multiplex in multistream mode, but that the PLS code is unknown.

I've run those parameters (DVB-S2 8PSK/SR:7522/FEC:8/9)...

Thinking of a TBS PCI/USB Card - View on other PC?

Might chuck a card in a PC in the AV Rack, but want to watch it on my main PC?
I don't want to use VNC Or Remote desktop, but want to be able to change channels and scan etc from the main PC as well.

Does anyone else do this? I know I can stream with VLC but I wonder if there are other options?

I made it to install on Lubuntu a TV Headend and now I am waiting for the TBS to work with.

Do you know if T2-mi are working on this software?

Otherwise, considering I have already an Enigma 2 decoder (and letting alone trascoding) what are the extra features of TVH, if any?

U2C denys h265

First of all, I will review U2C denys h 265 only as the satellite receiver, so no iptv.... (anyhow not very interesting for western europe)

Good things:
- very easy to get Multistream and T2-mi, simply scan after define the frequency as t2-mi/multistream
- acceptable tuner sensitivity;
- very good video quality;
- Great epg on russian channels.
- NO UHD TVs, but you can get HD channels broadcasted in H265, with very few glitches (improve it).
- recordings from EPG and in a ts file that is...
